Fishing
Croatia's rivers and lakes are not only peaceful and among the cleanest in the world, but are well stocked with fresh water fish. For more adventure, head out to the Adriatic Sea and try catching some big game fish: albacore tuna, amberjacks, blue fin tuna, mahi-mahi Swordfish, thresher shark and tuna.
Plitvice National Park
The Plitvice Lakes National Park is composed of sixteen interlocking lakes and amazing waterfalls: the perfect back-to-nature Croatia experience. Any of the paths (often wooden) wind their way around, and/or through the water as well as the rest of the Park. Visitors can either hike the entire area; hop on one of the buses to get up to the upper lakes and/or the boat to go between the larger lakes. The scenery from the upper lakes is amazing and the lower lakes have wonderful grottoes and caves. This picturesque park is also home to over 120 species of birds.
Rock Climbing
Many of Croatia's coastal mountains are composed of karst: making them superb for rock climbing. A good spot for all climbers is the Paklenica National Park with over 400 climbing routes. More experienced climbers will enjoy the unique rock formations at Vela Draga.
Sea Kayaking
The Adriatic is wonderfully clear and surrounded by stunning scenery, making it perfect for sea kayaking. Unless the winds come up (and they can) the sea stays calm, allowing for easy paddling. With a myriad of islands, it is easy to kayak from cove to cove and still have time to spend exploring.
Snorkeling
The clear Adriatic Sea is perfect for snorkelling. Its crystal blue water is calm and filled with fascinating coral reefs, caves, plants and sea life. There may even be some sunken ship wrecks amongst the ever-changing underwater landscapes.
Wind Surfing
Wind surfing is a lot of fun and many beaches in Croatia have surfing equipment available to rent. To enjoy both the beautiful pebbly beach and wonderful windsurfing conditions, head over to Bol which is on the southern shore of the island of Brac. In Croatia, you are truly surrounded by nature: these activities let you enjoy what she has to offer and invite you back for more.

During the tourist season most shops are open from 8:00 till 20:00 on weekdays with many at the weekend. Public services and normal business hours are 8:00 till 16:00
Post Offices,
Generally Mon - Fri 07:00 - 19:00 in smaller areas this will be 07:00 - 14:00, in most of the larger cities and tourist areas there will be post offices open an Saturday and Sunday.
